Midson extends AFC Wimbledon contract
Jack Midson, who was subject of a failed approach from Rotherham recently, has committed his future to AFC Wimbledon by signing an improved contract with the club.
28-year-old Midson, as he told the official website, was flattered with interest shown in him but insists that he is, and always was, happy to stay at Kingsmeadow: 'it is quite flattering when there is interest in you, but my main aim was to stay at Wimbledon.
'It would have had to have been a massive offer for me to go. I am happy to stay at this club. The support from the fans, the staff and everyone at the club helped me do so well in my first season here.
'We had to get a few things sorted out, but I am glad that the contract is done now as I wanted it sorted before the start of pre-season training.'
With his future now secured everyone will be hoping he can at least match, if not better, his 20-goals from last season!
