Brown - It was an absolute nightmare start

When you are four goals down by half-time, with these coming within a 19-minutes "nightmare" spell there is little that you can do!

Terry Brown has laid into his sides defensive performance following the 6-2 spanking at Burton in midweek: 'it was an absolute nightmare start for us and the first two goals were horrendous.

'They had a big slice of luck with the second when the ball came off the wall but we never got to grips with Burton in the first half at all.'

Defensive frailties aren't exactly new to The Dons though as during pre-season they conceded a hatful.

This is something Brown would have hoped they had gained something from, obviously not: 'I could have made six or seven substitutions at half-time let alone three.

'We kept a clean sheet on Saturday, but we've really got to sort out our back four because we haven't really been good enough all the way through pre-season.'

Much better will be expected at the weekend with the Wimbledon boss likely to make changes in the hope of getting this improvement.
