No risks with Haynes-Brown

Curtis Haynes-Brown's AFC Wimbledon debut didn't go at all as he, or anyone else, would have planned.

The on loan Yeovil man scored and early own goal and eventually had to be taken away to hospital with a neck injury having been unconscious for sometime.

Play was held up for almost 10-minutes as the youngster was treated but Brown is hoping this hospital visit was merely precautionary and little more and still feels he can be proud of his performance: 'He has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his neck.

'He was unconscious on the field so we didn't want to take any risks.

'It was an eventful day for the young lad. It was his debut and he managed to score an own goal, but in a terrible defensive display I thought he was excellent. He can hold his head up high.'

Everyone connected with Haynes-Brown, at his parent club Yeovil and of course The Dons would have been hoping the defender wasn't seriously injured and could make a speedy recovery.

Fortunately it has been confirmed that no serious damage has been caused and he was fairly swiftly discharged from hospital.
