'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brown - I'm happy with a well-earned point

After successive hammerings it was important for AFC Wimbledon to "stop the rot" against Dagenham at the weekend, and they managed that with a 2-2 draw at Kingsmeadow.

Terry Brown was pleased with a "well-earned point" but admits he wasn't so with the performance: 'I can't say I'm happy with the performance but I'm happy with a well-earned point. It was very hard work in the second half. They had the better of it and created chances that we did well to defend.

'I'm very pleased with the first-half performance. The crowd got us up for it and we played some smashing stuff. The second half was relentless pressure and credit to Dagenham. Their midfield dominated and we have to look at improving there.'

The Dons boss knew the importance of giving some "answers quick" following these two heavy defeats and whilst knowing there's still work to do he thinks it's a starting point: 'When you get spanked by five and six and given some of the defensive displays we have I'd be wanting some answers quick if I was a punter. That's football and I accept that. We're not back on track yet. There's a lot of work to do and we need to start keeping some clean sheets.'
