It's the end of an era for AFC Wimbledon after the club sacked long serving, and promotion achieving, manager Terry Brown.
Three promotions in five years under Brown took Wimbledon from non-league to league two but a disappointing end to last season and a poor start to this has seen him lose his job.
Erik Samuelson, as he told the official website, knows what a sad time it is and how hard a decision it was to make: 'This is a terribly sad moment for all of us. Terry has been a wonderful manager and a fantastic ambassador for the club since we appointed him over five years ago.
'He and Stuart guided us from the Ryman League into the Football League and for that we will be forever grateful. On behalf of everyone at the club and all the fans, I'd like to thank them for everything they have done for us.'
What a job Brown did with The Dons though and his achievements will always be appreciated and never forgotten, but football is a results based business and Brown himself knew he would pay the price if the form didn't improve...
60-year-old Brown had been The Dons' manager since May 2007 with the search for a new boss now underway with Lawrie Sanchez and Andy Scott are the early favourites to replace him.
