Djilali returns to Dons

Kieran Djilali was released by AFC Wimbledon in the summer but the winger has returned to Kingsmeadow, completing his short-term return on Friday.

Injury had ravaged his time with Wimbledon and last season he managed only six starts, so his release wasn't really a surprise.

Neal Ardley is convinced that the 21-year-old is worthy of a long-term deal, and can play at a higher level (as he has in the past) but before he gets anything more than a short-term deal he needs to prove himself, and his fitness!

After leaving Wimbledon Djilali spent a few weeks on trial with Portsmouth but his contract was mutually cancelled early in the season due to "doubts over his fitness" but he's spent the past month training with The Dons and impressed Ardley enough into giving him a chance.
