Dons well beaten

AFC Wimbledon 0-4 Southend
20th November 2012
19:45
Kingsmeadow

AFC Wimbledon' recent defensive resilience was shattered on Tuesday night when Southend came to Kingsmeadow and went away with a convincing win.

Thing might have been different had a first half effort from Jake Reeve not been a couple of inches lower as it might have hit the bar and gone in instead of clipping it and going over? Southend made this most of this and took the lead just before half time with Gavin Tomlin (43) opened the scoring.

Just past the hour Ryan Cresswell (61) doubled The Shrimpers' lead and it wasn't long before a second from Tomlin (67) extended the visitors lead further.

A 4-0 Southend win was wrapped up two-minutes from time when Barry Corr (88) ensured that The Shrimpers scored four goals for a second game in succession.
