Free agent signed by Dons

Free agent signed by Dons

Ryan Hervel has been brought in by AFC Wimbledon, with the midfielder signing a deal with The Dons on Thursday.

With numerous loans at Wimbledon Neil Ardley, as he told the official website, was keen to bring him in on a short-term deal as a signed player.

Hervel left Kettering earlier in the season due to their financial position, Ardley said: 'Ryan was at Kettering at the start of the season, but he had to leave due to financial problems at the club. With us having so many loan players, it was a good opportunity to sign Ryan, who was without a club.

'I watched Ryan at the Bailey Elite Academy and he has very good qualities, which can help us out. It is also a chance for Ryan to prove himself before January.'

This is a decent enough move really isn't it, and signing him on a short-term contract is no different than a loan arrival really is it and if Hervel proves himself in the coming weeks a longer-term deal could be in the offering to him.
