Refund (with AFC Wimbledon losing out) offered

Some AFC Wimbledon fans haven't wanted to make the trip to Milton Keynes Dons this weekend, and contemplated a boycott or getting a refund.

A solution has been offered by bookies Betfair, who are offering to refund purchase tickets so Wimbledon don't lose out on the money.

The Dons' boss Neil Ardley said: 'Everyone connected to this great club knows what an emotive issue it is for us and our supporters. We're grateful to Betfair for taking some of the pressure off what will be a very tough decision.

'I'm sure our fans will do what's best for both themselves and the club.'

Betfair are offering the first 250 fans who want to hand their ticket into an "Amnesty Box" the chance to do so; a donation to The Dons Trust is also being made for each returned ticket. Obviously Betfair get some good promotion from doing this but the club isn't going to lose out on money either!
