Dons Lose Two Goal Lead Against League Leaders

AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Port Vale
24th January 2013
19:45
Kingsmeadow

Before kick off on Thursday night had AFC Wimbledon been offered a point against Port Vale it would have been taken, however after being two-nil up that point will be tinged with disappointment.

Jack Midson (8) gave Wimbledon a dream start with the struggling Dons given a chance to be two-up at the break when they were awarded a penalty. Midson (42) stepped up and converted this penalty.

The Dons weren't quite able to hold this two-goal lead into the break as Daniel Jones (44) pulled one back for Port Vale.

Tom Pope (58) inched closer to the thirty-goal mark for the season when he drew the visitors level just before the hour, with this goal seeing the game end in a 2-2 draw.
