Record Signing Completes Dons Exit

Byron Harrison became a (slight) surprise departure from AFC Wimbledon just before the transfer window closed on Thursday.

Cheltenham have had a long standing interest in the striker, who became AFC Wimbledon's club record signing when he arrived from Stevenage, could have joined them back along but opted to stay and "prove people wrong" at Kingsmeadow.

The 25-year-old has scored a few goals this season so it could be argued that he has but ultimately Harrison probably hasn't done what he was brought to The Dons to do so as long as the fee, which is undisclosed with him signing a two-and-a-½-year contract, sees a good chunk recouped it's not the worse bit of business the club have ever done!
