Alexander Debut Goal Not Enough For Dons Win

Alexander Debut Goal Not Enough For Dons Win

AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Burton
2nd February 2013

A debut goal apiece for new AFC Wimbledon and Burton recruits saw the points shared at Kingsmeadow on Saturday afternoon.

Gary Alexander (27), secured on loan from Crawley on deadline day, announced himself to The Dons fans with a first half goal. However Burton soon cancelled this out when their own recruit Michael Symes (36) drew them level before the break.

Wimbledon had further second half chance, but couldn't force another breakthrough.

Burton finished with 10-men when Zander Diamond was sent off with a little under 15-minutes to play but 1-1 is how it ended.
