Dons Well Beaten By Port Vale

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley called upon his side to turn draws into wins, however they responded with a crushing defeat against table topping Port Vale on Tuesday night.

Recently Wimbledon forced Vale to fightback from two-nil down, before having to settle for a 2-2 draw, but The Dons gifted the hosts an early lead when Lee Hughes (13) was left unmarked to head home.

Having come close to levelling Port Vale then doubled their lead when Ashley Vincent's (35) shot was deflected in before the break.

Second half changes breathed life into The Dons but they were denied a way back into the game with the bar denying free-scoring Tom Pope before Vincent (75) wrapped up a 3-0 win.
