Conference Defender Targeted?

Conference Defender Targeted?

Neal Ardley is always looking to add to his AFC Wimbledon squad, some moves for players this summer already that been thwarted by others.

If what sky sports 'understands' is correct then he'll hope that Wimbledon have a little more success trying to lure Southport left back to Kingsmeadow, however with him still under contract with the conference side it might be a little harder to finance a deal?

24-year-old David Fitzpatrick is the player in question with his performances for Southport last season, with him scoring a belter from 30-yards to keep them in the conference, seeing him gain attention from a host of league 2 clubs, reportedly the Dons aside also Carlisle United, Newport County, Oxford United and Luton Town.

Wimbledon are going to be 'keeping tabs' on the England C international's situation anyway, as far as the claims go....
