Three Scoring Dons

Three Scoring Dons

No, that isn't a mistake in the title. 'Free scoring Dons' is how it should read when I know you were thinking 'free scoring Dons', which is something AFC Wimbledon definitely weren't last season.

When Michael Smith was on loan he was scoring goals but when he return to Charlton Athletic, and then moved on elsewhere permanently, the goals dried up quite a lot.

Neal Ardley has told Get West London today that he wants three new strikers for his new look squad at Kingsmeadow next season to replace the released trio of Jack Midson, Charlie Sheringham and Charlie Strutton.

With all due respect to them, Midson aside, the quality will be an improvement too.

A little bird tells me that both Matt Tubbs and Adebayo Akinfenwa are being sounded out as possible arrivals this summer, if one of both could be secured that would be a huge boost for Wimbledon as both are well proven at league 1 level let alone league 2.

It would be some statement if either could be signed, if both could then what a chance the Dons have next season!

Could one, or both, be among the three that Ardley wants?
