Surprise Return For Former Don?

Surprise Return For Former Don?

When Callum Kennedy left Wimbledon this summer few would have anticipated having him back at Kingsmeadow for the 201/15 season.

It is far from certain that he will return to the Dons but Neal Ardley has admitted that one of the men he deemed 'surplus to requirements' could yet make a Wimbledon return, but this is very much out of his hands....

Ardley revealed in Get West London that the full back was most likely going to come back for some pre-season training to get himself fit after his ankle injury last season but as much as he is looking at 'a couple of others' should they not work out then the former Scunthorpe United man could yet return.

For this though thing would have to not work out with these others, which if it doesn't you never know, Ardley said: 'Callum missed most of the second half of the season with an ankle injury, so I said he could come back and train with us to get himself fit.

'We are looking at a couple of others in training and Callum has a few options himself, but if things don't work out then you never know.'

It would be unlikely that Kennedy will return but you can never say never can you!
