Phillips To Get Woking Debut?

Phillips To Get Woking Debut?

Manager Neal Ardley has confirmed that new signing Mark Phillips is in line to make his club debut when we face Woking this weekend.

The former Southend defender came through today's training session well and has obviously missed our pre season campaign so far owing to an abscess, however it's hoped that he will get his first run out of the summer on Saturday.

Speaking to the Official Site after the Sutton United match, the gaffer said.

'Woking are a very good team and they finished last season brilliantly. I've spoken to their manager Garry Hill a few times and he is hopeful of doing something similar next season. Our game against Sutton was hard on Tuesday and you want these games to be as tough as they cane be.'

Ardley goes on to say that there have been plenty of positives for him following our last two games, and even though we are a work in progress still, he's pleased with the direction he sees us heading in when it comes to play and fitness.

'We're not there yet but we're coming along nicely.'
